No better time than the present!

So I created this blog a few months ago, at the very least, and did nothing to it. I thought I might want to fill some of my summer time with blogging and use my blog as a kind of journal. Nada. I ended up working about thirty hours a week, taking summer classes, and attempting a social life as well. Needless to say, like it seems to do for all of us, time got away from me. I fulfilled my time with worthy pursuits, and I loved my summer! Blogging just wasn't a big part of it... or any part of it :)
Now, even though I have less time than I did before, I have decided I want to write. I miss writing for fun! School is fun...ish... most of time, but this can be something different. It can be a brief respite from the craziness we call life.

This weekend we have LDS General Conference! The sessions so far have been fantastic, and it makes me excited to get the conference issue of the Ensign so I can focus on specific points. I want to be a better person than I have been, and General Conference just seems to give me the hope that I can be. There is hope for a person like me :) and for you too! We can all be better people if we start today, and the words of the apostles and Pres. Thomas S. Monson can give us the tools to do it. It just takes waking up every day, having a plan, and including the Lord in every part of that plan.

I can't wait for the last two sessions tomorrow! I'm glad I can spend the time with my sisters, listen to the inspiring words, and finding hope for the future. The future is definitely bright!
